IT APPLICATION DEPLOYMENT STRATEGIES– REDUCE TIME TO MARKET
The days are over for taking 12 months to deploy an IT / Plant Floor GMP validated application. Businesses can’t afford to pay application vendors millions or wait extended periods of time to for business-critical Plant Floor or IT applications. When a major pharmaceutical company wanted to deploy MES and Trackwise systems in 6 months they called EMS to manage and create a deployment strategy to accomplish this task. Using rapid prototyping, risk-based testing, and extensive application deployment knowledge, EMS deployed both systems within 6 months without any major technical, business, or quality issues. Customers are impressed with EMS’s ability to understand integration and deployment from the shop floor (manufacturing) to the enterprise level.

IT/PLANT FLOOR AUTOMATION PROJECT MANAGEMENT
End Users continue to struggle to find good project managers to lead plant floor and automation projects. Project Managers who can objectively understand technology, OEM vendors, and how best to deploy it effectively meet business needs. EMS was called to scope and manage a SCADA / MES and ERP interface global standard to be rolled out for a mid-sized pharmaceutical / biotechnology company. The project was to assist the client to select technology vendors, scope, estimate, and deploy a standard scalable automated approach to match manufacturing requirements across eight (8) manufacturing sites. Leveraging economies of scale, client standards, proven deployment strategies, scope definition, and EMS’s solid project manager and leadership best practices, the project was successful. Understanding the importance of solid project leadership that understands client’s needs, OEM technology, and deployment strategies is imperative for any project to succeed.
